    Casey

Parents: Bella & Radicchio - Comments from Casey's family: Just wanted to thank you again for sending Casey our way. He is the most special creature! He has the purest, joyful energy, and the most affectionate disposition imaginable. And he's so beautiful! I'm getting used to total strangers coming up to us and saying "That dog is GORGEOUS!!". Our next door neighbor is completely smitten with Casey, and there's a precious baby girl who has trained her parents to walk her by our gate every day to stop and visit with him.

    Casey

And, more importantly, from Casey's perspective, he seems to absolutely revel in his life. With Robert being retired, Casey has a daily companion. Casey is the social organizer for our Corgi, and they have their routine play times together. Casey loves our daily "walkies" in Hemphill Park where he gets to make friends with other canines. And every evening, Casey hops on the couch by me to get his nightly "brushies". I never understood why all my reading about Doodles emphasized their amazing disposition, and now we know! Anyway, I hope this finds you well, and I just wanted you to know that you matched your little "furbaby" to his ideal environment, for which we're grateful.

    Riley - Puppy

Parents: Bella & Radicchio - Comments from Riley's family: I have attached some pictures of Riley.  I hope you think she is as adorable as we do.  We love her color, and her size, and her personality.  She is 35 lbs, and 19 inches high from floor to shoulder.  She is a beautiful deep apricot and we hope that this doesn't fade too much. She is a balance of playful puppy and contented companion with a bit of a stubborn streak regarding rules and commands.

    Riley

She and her "big sister" (8 yr old lab) are great play buddies.  She travels well and has been on several trips to Austin and our house at the Coast,  although she does not love the car as much as our lab.  She is very social, loves new people, and comfortable around other dogs.  She has fit perfectly into our family setting!  We could not be happier!

    Abby

Parents: Calista & Peabo - Comments from Abby's family: Dixie, We thought of you this Holiday Season as we were reminiscing of how much fun we had bringing Abby home last year to surprise the kids for Christmas! There was so much joy and I'll never forget the look on my daughter's face when she saw her for the first time. We are all crazy about her. She is 14 months now, and most definitely, the most spoiled member of our family! She is still very spunky, active, and loves to play. She is a very social dog, has never met a stranger and loves to play with our kids and all of the dogs in our neighborhood.

    Abby

She is curious and independent but also very attached to us, as we are to her. She is hilarious and has soooo much personality. She does not like baths, but loves to ride in the car. Everyone time we go out the front door she walks straight to the car, hoping we're going for a ride. We took her to Colorado this summer and she thought she had gone to dog heaven. Tons of dogs, lots of hikes in the wilderness, swimming in the stream and cool weather! We all had so much fun! Thank you for giving us such a cherished member of our family. We're having so much fun with her.

    Chandler Pippen

Parents: Calista & Mudgee - Comments from Chandler's family: It has been a while since I have sent you an update on our little munchkin! Chandler is doing GREAT!  She is so smart and continues to be the joy of our lives.  She constantly makes us laugh and we love her to pieces.  She has quite the personality and can be a big challenge for us sometimes, but we would never trade her for anything!  Chandler has graduated from her obedience school and continues to impress us with her intelligence!  She is so smart and adaptable. She knows Come, sit, shake, pound it, high five, down, and stay (among others).  When she plays chase with my husband, she has crafted a "fake out" move and it actually works.  She moves her head one direction and the goes the other way with her body.  She is so fast and agile- it's a wonderful combination because she is also extremely cute!

  • collage image title

    Chandler Pippen

We give her a bone to chew on, and she cries while she tries to bury it (burying the bone means placing it carefully in a corner of the house).  It is very cute.  I posted a video of it on facebook and she was a big hit!  I can send it to you in you're interested.  Chandler has become so affectionate and loving lately.  She sits on my lap (all 40 pounds) and chews on her bone while Scott and I watch TV.  She and I have been running together and is a great running partner.  Every night, before we go to bed, Chandler and I have Mommy time.  She sits on my lap and I rub her belly (to calm down before she crates up) and she becomes like jelly!  When it's time for her to crate up, she is literally like a rag doll- I have to pick her up and stand her up in order for her to move again.  It's really precious and i look forward to it every night. Everyone who meets her loves her and we are so lucky to have her.  Thanks again and I hope that all is well with you!

    Chewy - Puppy

Parents: Calista & Peabo - Comments from Chewy's family: He's just adorable!!! At six months he weighs 20.7 pounds. His height is about 18 inches at the withers. So...he's not very big, which is fine with me.

    Chewy

He's very mellow but he loves to romp and play too, and he's really affectionate. I can't imagine a more delightful dog. Thanks again for providing such a great puppy for our family.

    Jake - Puppy

Parents: Calista & Peabo - Comments from Jake's family: Please see the attached photo of Jake Jones, aka "Lashes" as of a few weeks ago. He certainly got Peabo McDreamy's eyelashes and then some. Please excuse the wet beard. He loves to drink out of the you know what and someone forgot to put the lid down.

Jake is such as pleasure. He is the highlight of every day. In addition to walking/running at least 2 miles just about every day, he loves riding in the car, playing ball, swimming and smiling at his family and frequently assembled fan club. We joke that he wakes up every day and says..."yes, I've still hit Jake-pot" since he's such a lucky dog...in reality, we're the ones who are lucky!

We take frequent trips to Neiman Marcus and Saks. As you might imagine Jake likes the shoe department best. I suppose it's the dog equivalent of a candy store after all. ALL of the store comes to a halt when he's in tow and EVERYONE knows his name. I've told at least 100 people about Dixie's Doodles. It's like traveling with a rock star.

In addition, he's been to every dog friendly restaurant in town - at least once. He is such a good dog - no begging, no matter what. He is content to be admired and to meet other dogs, kids and people.

    Jake

He spent a month at Triple Crown Training Academy earlier this summer and is perfectly behaved. His breeding and intelligence were often praised. He was the class clown for soon-to-be trainers in the dog training academy and the star student according to Liz his instructor. She's encouraged us to do what it takes for Jake to be a therapy dog. I can see him excelling in that role regardless of the age of patient. When I picked him up, he was encircled by young women wishing him a fond farewell. One in particular was holding back tears she was so attached.

As you can see from all of his outings Jake is quite the lady's man. It is no wonder Robert is so quick to include Jake on his Saturday "errands." Jake attracts so much attention there is plenty for both the guys to share...and then some.

UT Game Days are his favorite of all. He sports a UT visor, jersey, orange collar and matching leash. It is as if he knows he's "suited up" so he plays it up. Last week on the hike and bike trail literally every person smiled, spoke or laughed as they passed. Jake smiled right back and threw in a tail wag as each went their way.

It is no surprise we've been told frequently he's an extra special dog. We agree. In short he is an angel outfitted in a perfectly silky coat with curls. And we are so, so blessed.

    Sedona - Puppy

Parents: Calista & Peabo - Comments from Sedona's family: She is a delight! Everyone loves her and she loves everyone. She was so responsive to training early on and is a lovely addition to our family. Even in her adolescent stage (she is 6 months now) she is a love.

Every day we take Sadie out AT LEAST half a dozen people ask what breed she is and fall in love with her.

  • collage image title

    Sedona

We have given your name and website to over a dozen people already. The bottom line is everyone wants a dog that looks like Sadie and has her loveable temperament!!!

I can’t thank you enough for all your great advice and your care in raising your puppies…

    Clyde - Puppy

Parents: Calista & Peabo - Comments from Clyde's family: I know it's been a while but I wanted to update you on how well "Clyde" (formerly Black Boy) is doing. Now that school is over I have no excuses! He has been nothing but wonderful since the day I brought him home. Within the first weekend he was practically house broken, and he's only been getting better. Honestly he is probably the sweetest and SMARTEST puppy I've ever had.

  • collage image title

    Clyde

We are beginning basic obedience classes next week and I know he's going to do great. Not only is he very smart but also very eager to please. Please take a look at the pictures I've attached of him, I can't believe how fast he's grown. The pictures span from the first weekend I picked him up to our most recent boating trip (June 14th) where Clyde learned how to swim and use his doggie dock!! Now he LOVES the boat and swimming!!

    Chloe - Puppy

Parents: Calista & Peabo - Comments from Chloe's puppy raisers: I wanted to let you know that Chloe graduated from Aggie Guide-Dogs and Service-Dogs December of 2008. We chose Canine Assistants in Georgia who fell in love with Chloe immediately. This past May Chloe graduated from phase two training and has been placed with a retired federal judge who lives in Naples, FL in a penthouse condo on the beach.  This lady suffers from post polio sydrome and spends most of her time in a wheelchair. Like Canine Assistants, this lady fell in love with Chloe immediately and they work very well together. Needless to say Chloe is going to be in heaven playing on the beach with her new partner.

    Chloe

I want to thank you for allowing us to be a part of Chloe's training. She was such a joy to work with and is now doing what she was meant to do. If you want to learn more about the organization through which she completed phase two training their website is: http://www.canineassistants.com. I hope you have a wonderful week. God bless!
