The photo next to each puppy is that puppy as a grown dog. This is a good way to try to figure out what your puppy will look like when it grows up!

    Honey Bear

Parents: Scout & Peabo - Comments from Honey Bear's family: Here are some photos of Honey Bear (some puppy, some grown).  He is the sweetest dog I have ever known. He does have a kitten that he thinks is his. We fostered some kittens for Town Lake Animal Shelter and ended up keeping one (you CAN'T just give them all back, it's too hard).

    Honey Bear

He protects her from the other cats when they are playing too rough. It is amazing.  He hears a distressed meow and runs over, puts his nose in between them and breaks it up, very gently.  He is extremely smart.  If you would ever like to visit with Honey Bear, I would love to bring him over to play.  Just keep that in mind if you ever have "spare" time (ha ha).

    Max - Puppy

Parents: Scout & Peabo - Comments from Max's family: Max is GREAT! We never knew we could love a dog this much. He has the sweetest temperament. He is so calm and just loves to be with Susan and me (whether that is a car ride, walks, or just watching tv on the couch).

He is very social and loves to meet new people and dogs (almost never barks). Susan weighed him last night and he was 32 lbs. Our vet has noted he is healthy and doing fine.

    Doodle Scout - Puppy

Parents: Scout & Peabo - Comments from Scout's family: It has been a long time since Ross and I met you and picked up our puppy, Doodle Scout. She is from Scout's first litter. Since then, we have had a "litter" of our own. Our baby is now 15 months old, and Doodle and she are the best of friends. They play ball together all the time. It is so cute to watch.

We feel so lucky to have Doodle. She has been great with the baby. We had a photographer come to our home recently and take pictures for the holiday season. I wanted to share a couple with you. I hope all is going well. I can't tell you how much we love our Doodle. She has been an amazing addition to our lives. We are thankful every day for our "girls".

    Shiloh

Parents: Scout & Peabo - Comments from Shiloh's family: Just wanted to send this photo of Shiloh (born March 2009) with our daughter. We couldn't have possibly dreamed of a better dog for our family--she is such a joy and we all love her a lot.

(We also get together occasionally with one of Shiloh's litter mates, Summer, and family. The dogs have loads of fun.) Take care and thanks for such  a great dog!!

    Angus

Parents: Stella & Shadow - He is wonderful. He is the star of his obedience class. He already knew sit, stay, come, heel, down, and jump (brinka) in spanish, when we started.  Was just too excitable when around other dogs, so I placed us in this class with lots of dogs to get over it.  And it is fun.  On the day when we started "down/stay", the trainer said, " Joanie, place Angus in a down, tell him to stay, and walk away". I did and he did, and I have never been so proud in my life!   ( How did she know we knew this?)

    Angus

I mean, I walked a block away.  The other owners were saying "look at that!". I didn't tell them we had been doing this since he was just a few months old. (started with staying on a short wooden box). He is really smart and you can see him thinking.  Still headstrong.  Must stay on top of that, but he is really the best dog I have ever known.. and I have known a few. Love him more than beans and rice. Can never thank you enough.

    Bowen

Parents: Stella & Shadow - Hi Dixie, I wanted to give you an update and thank you so much for such a great puppy! We are absolutely in love with Bowen - we actually are all trying to steal him away from Ethan, but he will have none of it :) Ethan calls him Bo Bear because he looks like a teddy bear. So far we have had no problems with his coat - we barely have to brush him - and it seems to be getting curlier.

    Bowen

We had him groomed once and they thought he was the best puppy (stayed still) they have ever had. No puppy training yet, but he does everything we ask of him - he aims to please. He has the best personality - he plays but also snuggles and likes to be around everyone.  I know I'm bragging on and on, but he's my baby :) and I can't help it!

    Shelby

Parents: Scout & Radicchio - Comments from Shelby's family: Today is my Shelby anniversary - it was one year ago today that I drove down to Georgetown to pick up my dear Shelby! I wanted to write and tell you that she is doing great - she is an amazing dog and has brought so much joy to my life. She did a great job after my surgery and seemed to understand the need to be gentle/careful around me. I am now about 7 weeks post surgery and have a ways to go in my recovery, however I am now able to walk her again, so we are getting back into our routine... which I think we both missed. I love our walks :o) Shelby is quite a silly girl at times... before surgery, I had a dog door installed (she loves being able to in and out as she pleases). She has always been a very talented and quick laundry thief - so much so, that I had to move my laundry baskets in to my closet and keep the door closed. Her favorite prank as of late is to take things outside to the back yard..... socks, underwear (when I am in the closet or forget to close the door) and her favorite - bathmats from my bathroom. The first few times she couldn't get it through the door, but now she can. It is funny... and she only takes the bathmats from my master bathroom - not the guest bathroom.

    Shelby

I've also found that she loves to unwrap presents. A friend of mine used to wrap her dogs gifts in tissue paper and I thought I would try it with Shelby. I figured she would love it because she loves to tear paper (especially toilet paper). I usually hide a treat inside that she can smell to motivate her. She caught on quickly and enjoys unwrapping her gifts! She is much better with letting me brush her now that I have the Les Pooches brush - thanks for getting that for us. I always thought... can they really be that good? Well, if it saves me one shave down - it's paid for itself! Her coat is really changing color.... she looks like she has highlights and frosted strands. She is lightening up quite a bit - especially the front of her front legs. They are a pale apricot color. At about what age does the coat transition/color change end? Thanks again for doing what you do.... breeding these wonderful dogs! It's hard to explain how much my life has changed now that Shelby is with me! She is a wonderful pup and gets compliments everywhere we go! I've done my fair share of educating others on the Australian Labradoodle!
